One of the issues we sometimes come across in this line of work is women who come to see us not because they want anything done but because someone in their life – a husband, boyfriend, or significant other (or ex) has made them feel that it is necessary. Dr. Yates loves working with women to give them the body they want – but he doesn’t want to force a body on you that someone else wants. When you come to see us in Layton, we want it to be because you love yourself and want to treat yourself to the skilled expertise Dr. Yates can offer.
Consultation First
There is a reason we require all of our new patients to have a consultation first. It’s because we want to make sure you are going into the sometimes-extensive surgical process with the desire to do so, the understanding about what it will entail, and the support you need to recover in a health manner. Even our out-of-town patients participate in a consultation, although we do try to accommodate you with phone consultations when necessary.
Your Body, For You
We will be concerned if you come to our office and talk about how your boyfriend likes bigger breasts or your husband wants you to have your pre-pregnancy body, but you yourself don’t express any desire to have the surgery. We offer many different services – surgical and non-surgical – to give you the body you love, but we want it to be something you truly want.
Not Sure What You Want?
If you think you might like to have a procedure but you’re not sure, you are not obligated to follow through on anything after your initial consultation. The consultation is just that – a way for you and Dr. Yates and his staff to get to know each other. It gives us an opportunity to hear from you about what you want.
If you have been thinking about cosmetic surgery for yourself or would like to discuss one of our non-surgical procedures, schedule an appointment with Dr. York Yates. To learn more, contact our Layton office and give us a call at 801.525.8741.
