Case Details

56 year old with subglandular breast augmentation done elsewhere 15 years prior.   She felt too large and droopy and desired implant removal and a lift.   During surgery, we found her right style 15 533 cc Allergan implant to be ruptured, with the left intact.   She is shown one year after implant removal, clean up of tissue and capsule associated with the rupture, and a breast lift.   She is very happy with her new shape and size.   This case illustrates what we would call a “silent rupture” of a breast implant 15 years after surgery.   Her very large implant put her at a higher risk of rupture in this case.
