Description: 36 year old female before and one year after tummy tuck. She has a challenging starting point with a high belly button with stretched thin skin around the belly button. In this situation we can either 1) place the scar very low but keep all of the stretched skin around the belly button and have a large vertical scar in the lower abdomen or 2) raise the scar location and remove the poor skin around the umbilicus. We chose the later and although the scar is a little higher than typical, this was the right call.
